Patas Arriba is a table wine brand created for China based El Willy’s food & beverage group.
The concept and wine’s name makes reference to chef Willy’s restaurants, fun establishments with a hint of craziness and madness. Because it’s a table wine, when we were creating the naming we came across the spanish saying ‘Patas arriba’, which expresses mess, chaos and disorder, literally meaning ‘legs up’, to say ‘upside down’.
The fun wine spirit lended itself to be conveyed by illustration and Willy’s love and use of animal imagery in the restaurants took us to use cats with their ‘legs up’.
The chromatic colors of the label are different depending of the type of wine, fresh colors for the white whine, darker ones for red, and more extravagant for cava.
