Art Director (Graphic Designer)
Responsible for serving as project lead on graphics design branding projects for large corporate clients as well as smaller startups. Responsible for all aspects of the creative design process including: taking on design briefs and working directly with the client; overseeing both print and digital projects from conception through to completion, taking ownership of projects and leading a team of designers as well as external resources such as photographers, illustrators, motion designers, web developers and printers until delivery of project to the client.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Visual design plus three (3) years’experience in graphics design (employer will accept a U.S. or a foreign three-year or four-year degree).
Experience and background must include
Track record of experience and knowledge of conceptual design: ideas-based and craft-based design skills; experience developing and designing smaller and larger global brand identity systems, including logo design, print and digital projects, as well as comprehensive guidelines systems; experience designing and developing advertising campaigns for local and globally based clients; experience designing, developing and overseeing production of packaging projects; knowledge of Swiss based grid systems and typographic skills – understanding typographical hierarchy, Swiss style, modernist typesetting; knowledge of print processes – paper choices, finishing techniques such as foil stamping, embossing, die cutting, book bindery.
