From family home to private hotel experience
One family decided to convert what had been their family home for three generations into a boutique hotel. The home is a good example of the Barcelona of the Barcelonese, not the more touristy side of the city.
The name “primero primera” refers to where the piano nobile was located within the buildings of Barcelona. For the logo, we designed a stencil typeface that allowed us to shorten up the word by cutting off part of the M. The identity uses some of the photos accumulated by this large family during the many years they lived in the home. In this way, the home appears as a secondary actor in the day-to-day life of the family. The corporate typeface was also very useful for the building’s signage.
