This catalog accompanies the exhibition of Jan Dibbets. His contribution to conceptual art has been crucial, by taking a fresh look at the history of photography. 

In this personal overview of what he calls “another photography” Dibbets talks about his passion for a medium that, before becoming an art form, was primarily a matter of technique. 

From Le Gray to Muybridge all the great pioneers are included, accompanied by lesser-known figures who used photography to investigate natural phenomena, and contemporary photographers. 

Utilizing our studio in Paris as well as Dibbets’ studio in Amsterdam, we spent a lot of time finding the right rhythm and combinations of images to tell his story. A truly great experience, resulting in a very carefully and considered layout and typeset catalog.
