Revisiting Artesa Vineyards — Featured in Netflix’s Wine Country
Great work deserves a second pour — even better when it’s featured in Netflix’s Wine Country.
In case you missed it our rebranding case-study of Artesa Vineyards, the stunning hilltop winery featured in Netflix’s Wine Country (2019), directed by Amy Poehler. Now’s the perfect time to revisit it.
With its sleek modern architecture and breathtaking views of Carneros, Artesa stands out as a stunning mix of tradition and bold design—qualities that inspired the brand refresh. Amy Poehler, in her interview to Wine Enthusiast magazine, praised the winery as “fantastic,” noting its “killer views and super nice people.
At Mucho we are always searching for the “clever idea”—that standout concept that drives everything we do. But even the strongest ideas need to be beautifully crafted as well.
While digital craft has its place, hand-crafted work can connect on a more human level. Hand-drawn, painted, carved, or etched—these artisanal techniques bring a soulfulness that digital alone can’t match. As true craftspeople become rarer, we value working with them to bring our ideas to life.
When we rebranded Artesa Vineyards & Winery, in Napa Valley, California, it was essential to honor the legacy of the winemaking family behind it—Raventós Codorníu, whose roots in Spain date back to 1551. The very name Artesa, Catalan for “artisan,” speaks to their heritage. Our goal was to craft a brand that not only reflected their Spanish origins but also celebrated their artisanal approach to winemaking, in a way that would appeal to an American audience.
Ultimately, great branding isn’t just about the story—it’s about telling it the right way, through the right medium, and with the right people whose unique talents bring it to life.
