«Posters x Gaza»: in support of Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

Through an open call, the Association of Art Directors and Graphic Designers of the FAD (ADG-FAD) invited our industry professionals to participate in Posters x Gaza; a solidarity campaign to raise funds for the people in Gaza, suffering the devastating consequences of the ongoing war. Our in-house designers created limited-edition posters, which can be purchased this December at Disseny Market Barcelona. All (100%) profits will directly go to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in support of their work in Gaza.

Sometimes, words fall short.

Sometimes words fail to convey meaning. Design is a universal language that transcends borders and speaks to everyone. As designers (and humans), we see it as our duty to speak through our craft, raise awareness, inspire action, and advocate for those in urgent need!

Paz Gaza

The white background represents the peace we all wish for Gaza. Using the visual similarity between the words PAZ (peace) and GAZA, a graphic interplay connects them, symbolizing unity and the shared desire for peace. The colors come from the flag of Gaza — red, green, and white — while black is introduced through the message “Todo conflicto es una falta de amor” (“Every conflict is a lack of love”), pointing toward the true solution. The chosen stencil typeface, often used in conflict zones to mark surfaces manually, reinforces the raw, human, and universal call for peace.

The Embracing Word

Palestine becomes a gesture.
A presence. A bond.
Freedom is not a place,
it’s what keeps beating.

Forever, Forever Free

“Forever, Forever Free” symbolizes resilience, unity, and the unyielding spirit of the Palestinian people. The watermelon, a vibrant emblem of resistance, grows strong and unstoppable, reclaiming space with color and life.

Free Palestine

Birds carry the spirit of liberation, the timeless urge to break beyond all limits. The green bird rises as a call for hope and resilience, a symbol of the unbreakable will for a free Palestine.

The Key of Return: a symbol of Memory, Resistance, and Hope

For Palestinians, the key is more than metal; it is a living testament to loss, resistance, and the enduring hope of return. When more than 700,000 people were expelled or fled their homes during the 1948 Nakba (“catastrophe”), many locked their doors behind them, believing they would soon come back. They carried their house keys as a promise, a bridge between past and future. Today, as new generations continue to face displacement and loss, the key endures, linking past and present, memory and justice. Even when everything is taken, the key remains: a fragment of home, a keeper of identity, a quiet act of resistance against forgetting. To hold the key is to hold memory itself — and the unbroken promise to return.
