How to create a book that pays homage to Enric Sagnier without turning it into an academic piece? How to bring his legacy to life in a way that resonates with the present-day hotel experience? The ambition was to create an editorial object that felt intimate, evocative, and multidimensional, capturing not just the architect’s prolific work, but also the values and emotional layers that inspired the spirit of the hotel.
Working hand-in-hand with Casa Sagnier’s team, we curated and designed a book that blends photography, illustration, quotes, and narrative content across three thematic chapters: family, creation, and hospitality. Each section unfolds with its own rhythm and character, while maintaining coherence through a consistent design language rooted in the brand’s identity. From full-bleed images and elegant type to intimate family anecdotes and architectural diagrams, every element was designed to honour Sagnier’s legacy and to reflect the timeless elegance of the hotel that bears his name.
