Rebrand for Spora, a sustainable revolution. Our mission was clear, to create a cohesive brand identity that merges ecological consciousness with high-end appeal, setting a new standard in the luxury fashion materials creators. This presented a beautiful challenge in terms of creativity.


The challenge

At Mucho, we are always thrilled to work with companies at the heart of the sustainable revolution. A state-of-the-art biotech company, and the first end-to-end mycelium-based material innovators, Spora’s brand strategy and brand identity speak directly to their transformative philosophy and their unique vision to harness the inherent intelligence found within the fungi kingdom. We developed a unique approach to proprietary image creation to articulate Spora’s distinctive take on R&D and their commitment to the preservation of pristine natural ecosystems.

The strategy

Spora’s logo and identity are built upon four key pillars that encapsulate “the Spora difference.” The first two pillars (based on the product and methodology) showcase our competitive edge: harnessing nature’s intelligence and utilizing innovative materials. These concepts are visually represented in our AI-generated images that innovatively blend mushrooms and textiles, symbolizing both natural wisdom and cutting-edge technology. The remaining two pillars (about the approach and ethos) underscore our unwavering ethical commitment and ambitious sustainable goals, which form the core of Spora’s philosophy. This strategic approach positions Spora at the forefront of sustainable luxury, a concept succinctly captured in our tagline: “Luxury has a new language: sustainability.” Together, these elements create a cohesive brand identity that merges ecological consciousness with high-end appeal, setting a new standard in the luxury market.

Spora Symbols

The solution

The Spora symbol draws inspiration from the Concentric Spiral in Fibonacci’s sacred geometry. It features dynamic rings of dots, each representing a spora that disperses, symbolizing movement and growth. The chosen typography underscores the theme of visibility and invisibility, reflecting the hidden yet vital processes of spora proliferation. Spora’s visual language includes AI-generated compositions that explore mushrooms, textiles, transformation, and regeneration, skillfully balancing figuration and abstraction. The color palette, inspired by the natural hues of Chilean Patagonia, embodies the authenticity and natural beauty of the brand’s origin.
