We are used to focus on what we see, however, what is it that happens with all that surrounds us that we’re unable to see? Are we aware of everything around us? Are we wholly attentive to our environment and how it affects our lives, both personal and professional, as well as how we relate to others? We spend 90% of our time in closed spaces, the air in which is at times up to 5 times more contaminated than it is outside – having an effect on our health, our productivity and our interpersonal relationships.
Blava discovers, democratises and gives visibility to the particles that inhabit the closed spaces in which we live, so as to create healthier environments. Blava makes users conscious of everything we’re unable to see, of what surrounds us; of the sounds that we hear, the light that we see; the air that we breathe.
There is something in the emptiness
It is for this such reason we give importance to the brand’s sense of discovery and guardian nature, with a logotype developed from a custom typeface, stemming from organic forms which reveal with a gradual subtlety that feel alive.
The brand has two clear audiences: B2B and B2C. In the case of B2B, its communication is centred on the business’s wellbeing, with a clear and elegant visual language. However, in the case of B2C, the brand’s communication is centred around the concept of “people first”, which it tackles through a personal, colourful and fresh personality. The colour palette combines a set of inspiring and energetic tones together with a photographic direction that’s fun and varied, made up of people of all ages, from all over the world.
The new brand language uses different graphic resources to both interpret movement and illustrate the particles that inhabit our enclosed spaces. We achieve this primarily through the use of textured circular gradients which act as backgrounds for B2B applications.
Secondly, and focusing on B2C, we achieve this through lines of display text, designed to mimic light trails and be dynamic in nature. Fresh and carefree copy is added to this mix to create a strong visual identity for Blava. Finally, we also created a seal of approval that guarantees businesses’ safety and well-being, ensuring their offices are 100% safe and 100% free of viruses and other contaminants.
