Música para Camaleones
Música para Camaleones
This publication focuses on the present and future of artistic practice in Spain. It offers deep insight into the new trends that network relations, co-working methods, suburban decentralization and new technology bring into art processes. To do so, it gathers in-depth articles by cultural managers, art critics, artists, curators, journalists and anthropologists and also showcases the work of 30 art groups.
The title of the book is a play on words in reference to Truman Capote’s novel and also relates to the adaptation required in present-day artistic practice; the editor chose chameleons as a direct reference to artists. This gives rise to the general idea of capital letters (using the initial of each chapter), which merge into graphic backgrounds but still allow themselves to be seen. The use of a bold fluorescent color gives uniformity to the different pictures, and the different paper coatings are arranged to facilitate the printing of varied information.
