“Perfect typography is certainly the most elusive of all arts.” So said Jan Tschichold, one of the most outstanding and influential typographers of the 20th century.

Tschichold’s quote was the inspiration for this exclusive type-themed gift, laser cut for a small selection of clients. The tablet was repurposed as a visual response to the ADB012 (Australian Design Biennale 2012), based on the theme ‘Start Again.’ Creativity is often about having the courage to discard ideas and start afresh. This concept was at the heart of our contribution, where a Type Tablet was transformed into a fragmented composition with the aid of a hammer.
