The chosen name, “Murmuri,” is a Catalan term with international appeal. It resonates with the English word “murmur,” reflecting the hotel’s location between a serene alley and a bustling street. Its onomatopoeic nature offered extensive typographic opportunities.
The project also necessitated unique identities for the hotel’s restaurant and bar. The Asian-themed restaurant’s symbol ingeniously uses the two ‘Ms’ in Murmuri, while the “Bar marfil” branding celebrates its 1960s roots with collages using period imagery, all resonating a luxurious and free-spirited vibe.
