Summer in San Francisco
San Francisco is notoriously cold during the summer. The fog that has been lovingly named ‘Karl’ rolls in most days, acting as a natural air conditioner for the 7 x 7 mile city. These images were created for AIGA San Francisco, where local designers were asked to create an image that best depicted the city.
Starting with how simply the fog can be shown rolling across the Golden Gate Bridge, Creative Director Rob Duncan developed a series of 12 images — The order follows the movement of ‘Karl’ from The Pacific Ocean to the Bay.
The resulting images were developed into greetings cards and sold throughout the Bay Area and have been used for several AIGA SF events over the years.
