The Exhibitionists
The Exhibitionists brought to light the history of an art museum in its 150th year. A comprehensive account of the Art Gallery of NSW’s rich heritage, the book is both a local Sydney story and part of a broader international one in the ways public museums evolve with the times. Guided by long-time head archivist Steven Miller, Mucho designed the book in a deeply collaborative process.
Our main layout challenge was incorporating vast and varied content that included archival photos, artworks and illustrations. One of the first major applications of the Art Gallery’s new visual identity (also designed by Mucho), The Exhibitionists utilises the house typefaces Preston and Syllabus.
